Whole Brain Emulation: Scientists Run a Fruit Fly Brain in Simulation

Scientists recently mapped the full wiring of a fruit fly brain (about 140,000 neurons) and built a computer simulation based on that wiring.
The simulation can pass signals between digital neurons and produce simple behaviors, which is a real scientific milestone for neuroscience. So probably a 100 years from now we can do human brain emulation, or something close to it. I'm hoping this research can help diagnose and cure disease that effect the brain as scientist research this. Check out the article below.
